How does a Guaranteed Pre-paid Funeral Plan Work?
You choose the plan that suits you best from the three plans described. We will be pleased to fully explain the plans to assist you in making your choice. If you have any special requirements, just let us know and we will do all we can to ensure your wishes are carried out. If you have a preference for a particular funeral director please mention this when you apply.
You pay for the funeral of your choice. This secures a guarantee that the services of the funeral director will be provided as specified and there will never be more to pay for these services. You can choose to pay either by a single payment or by paying a deposit and then spreading the balance over a period of up to five years.
Included in the price of the plans are contributions for other necessary expenses, called 'disbursements', such as cemetery or cremation fees and clergy fees. These amounts included are based on national averages and are increased annually in line with inflation, so most, if not all, of the costs will be covered, but they are outside of the control of Funeral Planning Services Ltd and cannot be guaranteed. Although the amounts covered are based on cremation costs they can be put towards a burial instead. You may include a larger amount for these expenses if you wish - simply add the extra cost to the price plan.
Complete the application form and we will deal with Funeral Planning Services Ltd. You'll be sent a guarantee certificate showing details of the funeral arrangements you have stipulated, together with other information to help your family or Executor at the time of the funeral. All you are required to do is to inform your next of kin and Executors so that they are aware of the existence of this plan. The funds will be transferred to the Trust and, following the deduction of administration and associated costs, these will be sufficient to meet your chosen funeral plan costs.
Of course, you will have the opportunity to cancel within one full month. Any cancellation within this period will result in a full refund of all money paid.
